As a game developer, or even a hobbyist, creating digital entertainment can be frustrating and time consuming, even if you absolutely love what you're doing. It's ironic really, because on one hand you may be completely submerged into this digital world you've created, floating in a sea of code, and yet on the other it seems as if you may be drowning in that same digital ocean.
Anyone that has experience will tell you, game design can be fun, but it's not always easy nor stress-free. As a student in game design courses and an indie game developer/hobbyist, I find myself at such a road. I wonder if things in the industry will resemble my own experiences, or better yet my own triumphs and tribulations through this painstaking process.
It's not all bad though, don't get me wrong. I've had a lot of fun creating games and bringing virtual worlds to life in my own vision. I guess it's just a balance you have to have to be able to successfully complete a project.
So I guess the answer is to simply keep going.
